Time sure goes by fast by when you are having fun and time is definitely going by fast for us. This year has been very enjoyable. The dreaded end-of-course exam is finally completed and I feel good about my students overall. We have 5 weeks of school left and I still have a lot planned for the students. We will begin this period talking about how math is used in the real world. I will have some guest speakers and I am also making the students complete a project where they research how math is used in the career field of their choice. This project will be due on Friday, May 7th. We will then do a Geometry Unit which will take up the next two weeks of class time. I want for my students to have a fundamental understanding of Geometry so that they can be successful in there next year. For the homework, I will give them 8 book assignments that will be due around Friday, May 21st. After that, we will review and take the semester test.
