This year has been very enjoyable. The dreaded end-of-course exam is finally completed and I feel good about my students overall. We have 5 weeks of school left and I still have a lot planned for the students. We will begin this period talking about how math is used in the real world. I will have some guest speakers and I am also making the students complete a project where they research how math is used in the career field of their choice. This project will be due on Friday, May 7th. We will then do a Geometry Unit which will take up the next two weeks of class time. I want for my students to have a fundamental understanding of Geometry so that they can be successful in there next year. For the homework, I will give them 8 book assignments that will be due around Friday, May 21st. After that, we will review and take the semester test. Here is a breakdown of the next three weeks (which will definitely change):

Monday, May 3rd- In-class Image project
Tuesday, May 4th- Guest Speaker
Wednesday, May 5th- Computer Lab, work on "Math in Real World" project
Thursday, May 6th- Lesson 11.4 Pythagorean Theorem, finish Image project
Friday, May 7th- Present "Math in Real World" project, Project DUE

Monday, May 10th- Midpoint/Distance Formula
Tuesday, May 11th- Similar Triangles
Wednesday, May 12th- Review Activity
Thursday, May 13th- Trig Ratios
Friday, May 14th- Review Trig Ratios, In-class Activity

Monday, May 17th- Review Slope-intercept form
Tuesday, May 18th- Review Parallel/Perpendicular lines
Wednesday, May 19th- Review all sections, work on assignments in class
Thursday, May 20th- Review activity for the test
Friday, May 21st- GEOMETRY TEST, NOTEBOOK DUE, ALL ASSIGNMENTS DUE!

List of assignments:
Geometry Assignments-100 points total, 12 points each
Lesson 11.4: p. 608 15-36 multiples of 3
Lesson 11.5: p. 613 14-26 even (Find the midpoint and the distance between the points in all the problems)
Lesson 11.6: p. 619 12-24 multiples of 3
Lesson 11.7: p. 628-9 21-60 multiples of 3
Slope-intercept form: p. 284 12-27 multiples of 3
Parallel/Perpendicular: p. 296 15-39 multiples of 3
Review part 1: p.634-6 33-66 multiples of 3, skip 48
Review part 2: p. 310-12 26, 28, 30, 38, 40, 42, 54, 57, 60, 63

Please make sure that these assignments are completed, they can definitely help or hurt grades a significant amount.
